Privacy Policy

Free SEO ("we", "us", "our") is a product of Interest Bud Solutions Private Limited, a global software development company with offices in Spain, India, Israel and the United Kingdom. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you use freeseo.in and how we use, share and protect it.

1. Data we collect

Account data

  • Name, email address and (if you sign in with Google) profile picture.
  • Authentication identifiers issued by our identity provider.

Scan data

  • URLs you submit for SEO analysis and the rendered HTML / Markdown of those public pages.
  • Computed scores, detected issues and auto-generated suggestions.

Billing data

  • Plan, subscription status and customer identifiers from our payment processor (Paddle). We never receive or store full card numbers.

Usage & technical data

  • IP address, browser, device, pages visited, timestamps, error logs.

2. How we use your data

  • To provide, maintain and improve the Free SEO service.
  • To run scans, generate reports and apply fixes you authorize (e.g. WordPress auto-fix).
  • To process payments, prevent fraud and meet legal obligations.
  • To send transactional emails (account, billing, security). Marketing emails only with consent.

3. Legal bases (GDPR)

We process personal data on the bases of contract performance, legitimate interest, consent and legal obligation, depending on the activity. See our GDPR statement for details on EU/UK data subject rights.

4. Sharing

We share data only with carefully selected sub-processors that help us run the service:

  • our backend platform, authentication, database, file storage.
  • Cloudflare, application hosting and edge runtime.
  • Firecrawl, public webpage rendering for scans.
  • Paddle, billing, tax and merchant of record.
  • Google, optional OAuth sign-in.

We do not sell your personal data.

5. International transfers

Interest Bud Solutions Private Limited operates globally. Where data is transferred outside the EEA / UK / India, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.

6. Retention

  • Account data: kept while your account is active and up to 30 days after deletion.
  • Scan data: kept while your account is active. You may delete individual scans at any time.
  • Billing records: kept for up to 7 years to meet tax and accounting laws.

7. Your rights

You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing. Email support@interestbudsolutions.com and we will respond within 30 days.

8. Security

We follow industry best practices, including TLS 1.2+ in transit, AES-256 at rest, role-based access controls and regular security reviews. See our Security page for more.

9. Children

Free SEO is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

10. Google API Services User Data Policy

Free SEO's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Scopes we request

  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/webmasters.readonly, read-only access to your Google Search Console properties.
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.email and openid, to display which Google account you have connected.

What data we access

  • The list of Search Console properties (sites) you own or have access to.
  • Search Analytics for those properties: clicks, impressions, CTR, average position, top queries and top pages.
  • Your Google account email address, used only to label the connection in the UI.

How we use it

  • To display your Search Console performance inside the Free SEO dashboard alongside our other SEO tools, so you do not need to switch tabs.
  • We only read data from Search Console. We never modify, delete, or write to your Search Console properties.
  • We do not use Google user data for advertising, do not sell it, and do not share it with third parties or /ML models for training.
  • Data is fetched on demand when you open the Search Console page in our app. No background scraping.

How we store it

  • Your OAuth refresh token and short-lived access token are stored in our database, scoped to your user account and protected by row-level security so no other user can read them.
  • Transport is encrypted with TLS 1.2+; storage is encrypted at rest.

How to revoke access

  • Inside Free SEO: open Tools → Search Console and click Disconnect. This deletes your tokens from our database immediately.
  • From Google: visit myaccount.google.com/permissions and remove "Free SEO".

We will post any updates to this policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be notified by email.
