Search volume, CPC, difficulty, related keywords, and the questions people ask — for any term, in any country.

How to actually use keyword research

The mistake most people make is chasing the biggest number. A 50,000/mo keyword sounds great until you realise you'll never rank for it. The right move is to find the highest-volume keyword you can realistically rank for today, then climb from there.

  1. Start with a seed term close to what your product or service does.
  2. Check the difficulty. If KD is under 30, you have a real shot — write the page.
  3. If KD is high, scroll the Related table for a longer, more specific variation with lower competition.
  4. Mine the Questions panel. Each question is a real user query — answer them directly inside your article to win 'People Also Ask' boxes and AI Overviews.
  5. Re-check in 90 days, swap the country to see where else you could rank.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does this keyword research tool show?

For any keyword you enter, we return monthly search volume, average CPC (what advertisers pay), competition density, keyword difficulty (0–100), 15 related keywords, and 10 real questions people search around that topic. The data comes from a global, trillion-keyword index updated continuously.

Which country should I pick?

Pick the country you actually want to rank in. A keyword can be huge in the US and tiny in Australia, and CPCs differ 5–10× between markets. US is the default because it's the largest English-language search market, but always switch to the country your buyers live in.

What's a 'good' difficulty score?

Under 30 is realistic for brand-new sites. 30–50 needs solid content and a few months of patience. 50–70 is ambitious — possible if you publish consistently. 70+ is big-site territory; rephrase the keyword more specifically to find an easier in.

Why is CPC useful for SEO (not just ads)?

High CPC tells you advertisers will pay real money for that click — meaning the keyword has commercial intent. A $0.10 CPC keyword sends curious browsers; a $40 CPC keyword sends people about to buy. Pick the high-CPC ones.

Why are questions important?

Question keywords (who/what/how/why) are how people search in voice and AI chatbots. Ranking for a question lets you appear in 'People Also Ask' boxes, AI Overviews, and ChatGPT/Perplexity answers — all of which now drive measurable traffic.
